About

Hi all and thank you so much for stopping by!  I’m Mary Beth and I created this blog to celebrate my journey in life and the amazing partnerships we find along the way.  Currently, I live in North Carolina and am a Physical Therapist transitioning to full time blogger and equine bodyworker.  I’ve also had the honor of discovering healing gifts through working with Reiki, craniosacral therapy, and other holistic methods in not only my own healing journey but also with animals.  Over the years I’ve battled anxiety, depression, and other various health issues stemming from lung issues as a child.   Through working and spending time with the animals in my life, especially my horses, and opening myself up to discovering a balance between mind/body/spiritual wellness, I have been able to find my way to enjoying life again.   My hope is that through the lessons learned in my life I can help to inspire others.     I invite you to join me on my journey and discover the best you, you can be.  For me this includes Running/Walking, Riding, A healthy diet (vegetarian transitioning to more plant based diet), Traveling, and simply choosing to embrace every day and being grateful for the gifts along the way.

As I find myself getting closer to 40 (eekk!) I realize there are 3 main goals in my life:

1) To fully embrace and enjoy this life that we are given by embracing gratitude and honoring my body

2) Become the best partner and rider I can be

3.) Be an inspiration to others on a similar journey and help others to truly discover the magic in life!

So that’s where this space comes in!  Welcome to the journey!

Currently my life is shared with my husband Mike and beloved four-legged “kids” including 4 rescue dogs:

Sophie, Biscuit, Tardis, and Toby:

4 amazing horses

(Addy- TWH; Magic- Arabian/Quarter; Molly-TWH, and Cody-Morgan/Quarter horse)

{* A Special Note on Magic

Of course the word magic can mean so many different things depending on who you are, for this blog Magic has 2 different connotations.  The first of course is referring to the wonder and magic in life itself, but Magic is also my first horse, amazing friend and partner and who this blog is partly devoted to.  Magic is the most beautiful and pure soul you could ever meet.  My partner thorough so many life lessons and sensei who has taught me so much not only as a horsewoman but also as a human in this journey overall.  Magic is in his 30s (exact age and background unknown) and is a unicorn trapped in an Arabian/Quarter horse body.  This blog and equine wellness and bodywork journey is dedicated to him and all the other horse teachers out there that we encounter along the way. }

and a Bearded Dragon- “V” (Vastra Rose)

Aside from spending time lounging on the couch with the dogs for a Dr. Who binge fest or cheering for Tar Heel Basketball, I also enjoy collecting fashion dolls and vintage Barbie, enjoying dark chocolate and being able to combine love of traveling with being active.

So that’s me!  I’d love to meet you and hear more about your journey.  Please drop me a line to introduce yourself, ask me questions, or let me know what you want to know more about!  I’m also working on my 50 state half marathon goal (basically completing a half-marathon in all 50 states so would love to hear about your favorite race where you are from!)
